Eisenhower (CVN 69) refuels from an Air Force KC-10 tanker aircraft over the Kjaki Dam in Afghanistan. USS Iwo Jima
PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. (April 26, 2010) The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) arrives at Port Everglades for the start of Navy Week Port Everglades. This is the twentieth navy week in Port Everglades, South Florida's annual celebration of the maritime services. Navy Week Port Everglades is one of 20 Navy Weeks planned across America in 2010. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
