USS Wasp (LHD 1)

ATLANTIC OCEAN (June 27, 2012) The amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) is alongside coalition partner ships during a sailing event while participating in the War of 1812 fleet exercise. The exercise is a week-long multi-national exercise involving 19 ships from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Brazil, and Portugal, and is designed to increase interoperability with allied nations, improve tactical prowess and certification of participating units. BALTIC SEA (June 7, 2012) Sailors aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) fire a live round of ammunition from the 5-inch gun during a pre-aim calibration firing exercise in support of Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) exercise 2012. USS Mitscher (DDG)

NEW YORK(May 23, 2012) The guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG) makes its way past the New Jersey skyline in New York Harbor to participate in Fleet Week New York 2012. Fleet Week New York 2012 marks the 25th year the city has celebrated the nation's sea services.
