MV-22 Osprey

140723-N-LQ799-051 CARIBBEAN SEA (July 23, 2014) A tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey assigned to the Argonauts of Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron (VMX) 22 takes off from the flight deck of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) during flight operations. MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 31, 2012) An MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft lands aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during exercise Bold Alligator 2012. Bold Alligator 2012 is the largest naval amphibious exercise in the past 10 years and represents the Navy and Marine Corps' revitalization of the full range of amphibious operations. The exercise focuses on today's fight with today's forces, while showcasing the advantages of sea basing. MV-22 Osprey on deck


STRAITS ON TIRAN (Oct. 3, 2007) - Lights on the flight deck of the multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) illuminate a MV-22 Ospreys attached to Marine Medium Tilt-rotor Squadron (VMM) 263 as it transits the Straits of Tiran. Wasp is on a surge deployment bringing the Osprey on its first combat deployment to the Middle East.

MV-22 Osprey


GULF OF MEXICO (March 30, 2007) - An MV-22 Osprey from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Training Squadron (VMMT) 204, Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., flies over the Gulf of Mexico and surrounding areas in Florida. The Marines are on a two-week training exercise at Hurlburt Field, Fla., to allow pilots and other aircrew members to train and navigate in an unfamiliar environment.
