A-10 Thunderbolt II

Technicians clear the ramp as an A-10 Thunderbolt II taxies out of the hot pit after a hasty refuel Dec. 8, 2010, at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. Hot pit refueling is a procedure usually performed in a combat situation to rapidly refuel aircraft while their engines are running to thrust pilots back into the fight.
