USS George Washington (CVN 73)

(July 30, 2014) The aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) and ships from the U.S. Navy, the Indian navy, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force participate in a photo exercise during Malabar 2014. Malabar is a U.S. Navy, Indian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force trilateral naval field training exercise aimed to improve our collective maritime relationship and increase understanding in multinational operations. Spinner (1908)


Title: One of the spinners in Whitnel Cotton Mfg. Co. N.C. She was 51 inches high. Had been in mill 1 year. Some at night. Runs 4 sides, 48 cents a day. When asked how old, she hesitated, then said "I don't remember." Then confidentially, "I'm not old enough to work, but I do just the same." Out of 50 employees, ten children about her size. See 463. Location: Whitnel, North Carolina.
