MEDITERRANEAN SEA (April 1, 2011) Marines with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (26th MEU), conduct a chemical, biological, and radiological environment weapons training exercise aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the command ship of the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
